The 2023 Sweden J/70 Sailing League circuit of four regattas (Saltsjobaden, Langedrag, Amal, & Strangnas) was finally decided in the final competition in Strängnäs on September 15-17.

Before the finale, it was Hjuviks Båtklubb who led the table with a six-point lead over Sotefjorden and Åmålsviken. Then, there was only one more point to Strängnäs, GKSS, and KSSS. Six points up for Hjuvik may sound like a lot, but should Hjuvik miss the final sailing on Sunday, the entire lead is gone.

HBC wins the Finale and the Season Championship!

Hjuvik's Boat Club won this year's Allsvenskan Sailing. Hjuvik won in style in the final in Strängnäs, where there was lovely weather and many exciting races.

When the final in Allsvenskan Sailing was to be decided in Strängnäs on September 15-17, it was Hjuviks Båtklubb that led the overall table with a fairly reassuring six points. However, several other clubs fielded talented and seasoned crews, so it was no easy victory for Hjuvik.

After 15 rounds and a total of 45 races, there were three crews at the top on the same score. Of the six teams that sailed to the final, only two points separated five of them. With double points in the final, it meant that the first to finish wins the sub-competition. However, Hjuvik's BC made the process short by taking the start and then having a large lead already after the first cross. Hjuvik won the regatta, the sub-competition, and the entire Allsvenskan Sailing 2023.

Rounding out the top of the leaderboard was Sotefjordens Segel Sallskap winning a tiebreaker at 19 pts each over KSSS (Royal Swedish YC). Fourth went to Goteborg Kungl Sallskap with 25 pts and rounding out the top five was Segel Sallskapet Amaksviken with 27 pts.
