Outremer is showcasing its award-winning Outremer 55 and newly-nominated European Yacht of the Year Outremer 52 at Cannes Yachting Festival in France, from the 12-17 this September.

Outremer's parent company Grand Large Yachting (GLY) will also be introducing two rallies, including the next GLY World Odyssey 2025 after a successful pilot, as well as a new Atlantic journey, the Grand Large Yachting Nordic Odyssey 2024.

Dynamic Duo

After its acclaimed launch announcement at last year's Cannes Yachting Festival, the Outremer 52 will present itself for the first time at the boat show, having recently been nominated for European Yacht of the Year 2024. Successor to the legendary Outremer 51, the 52' combines the proven successes of its previous model with the fresh look and innovation of the 55', which will also be on show at Cannes and won European Yacht of the Year last year in the "blue water cruiser" category.

Both catamarans will be available for viewing at the Outremer booth across the six days.

And because a sailing project is not just about the boat, the team will also be presenting Outremer's wide range of services, including the Outremer training offer (Outremer Academy). The academy is a great opportunity not only to meet with the team, but with the community of Outremer owners.

After the success of Outremer's "Sunset Time" - drinks at sundown - at the International Multihull Show in La Grande Motte last year, the team is bringing the punchalicious concept to Cannes. Every day, starting at around 5 pm, visitors are invited for a drink by the docks of Port Canto to enjoy some quality time in good company.

Exploring new waters

Building on the success of Grand Large Yachting's first ever world rally, the GLY World Odyssey 500, the blue water sailing specialist is opening up registrations for the next rally in 2025, starting on the first day of the Cannes Yachting Festival. "When we work on a project with clients, they become a permanent part of the Grand Large Yachting family. Our goal is not only to help people build the boat of their dreams, but also live out the adventures they've always imagined on it," says Xavier Desmarest, Co-founder and CEO of Grand Large Yachting. Similar to the first rally, which began in 2021 and finishes in May 2024, the GLY World Odyssey 2025 will take participants to some of the most remote and beautiful corners of the world, with full logistical support provided by the dedicated Grand Large Yachting teams.

In anticipation of this next edition, a new Atlantic rally is also being offered to Outremer catamaran owners and other boats from the shipyards of the Grand Large Yachting group. Scheduled to start in the fall of 2024, a fleet of adventurers will sail routes far off the beaten track: from the misty waters of Loch Ness in Scotland and the breathtaking fjords of the Norwegian coast, all the way to the former Viking trade hotspot of the Swedish island of Gotland. Before the start and throughout the rally, technical briefings are organised so that each crew is ready to face the different navigations that lie ahead.

The two rallies will be presented by the Grand Large Yachting team at the Outremer stand throughout Cannes Yachting Festival, with prospects getting the opportunity to meet the people behind the scenes in person.
