Cantiere Mimì takes two new models to the Genoa Boat Show

by Cantiere Mimì 2 Sep 2023 20:08 AEST 21-26 September 2023

Cantiere Mimì is showing two new boats at the Genoa Boat Show, Libeccio 9.5 Classic with a tiller bar and Libeccio 11 Cabin New Version 2023.

Alongside these two market debuts, the Yard will also be exhibiting five other high-profile models from the Libeccio range, which is constantly being upgraded with new configurations to meet the needs of an increasingly diversified owner base. The gozzo yachts on show from September 21 to 26 are Libeccio 6.50, Libeccio 7.50 Open, Libeccio 8.50 Sport, Libeccio 8.50 Walkaround and Libeccio 9.50 Walkaround.

Cantiere Mimì returns to the Genoa Boat Show with two important new models in the Libeccio range of planing gozzo boats (from 6.5 to 13.5 metres in length). Their modern design is also a tribute to the timeless tradition of this type of boat.

"In recent years, the Genoa Boat Show has enabled us to forge relationships that have often lead to important sales," comments Cantiere Mimì's CEO Domenico Senese, "and this year's show, with its new layout, will be the perfect opportunity to review the course we've charted so far, which is now at an important turning point above all in terms of the brand's image, but also of its sales, which are growing both in Italy and abroad, and production, which we expect to increase by 20% in the coming year. This also makes it the ideal venue to present two projects we're very proud of: Libeccio 9.5 Classic, a new version of one of the most popular size categories in the entire Mediterranean, and Libeccio 11 Cabin New Version 2023, a revisiting of this highly successful and storied model. They will be accompanied by models of various lengths, the smallest of which is still a favourite with pure open fans".

Libeccio 9.5 Classic is the Yard's latest project in collaboration with Valerio Rivellini, who given the revival of interest in boats with an accent on tradition decided to offer another model with a tiller bar, a tribute to the allure of the classic gozzo and a stylish enhancement of this innovative boat with generous exterior and interior spaces.

The brand's other new product is Libeccio 11 Cabin New Version 2023, the largest of the models on show, designed for those who wish to experience a weekend of total comfort on board. This revisiting of the brand's storied 11 Cabin, the first gozzo in the series with a hard top, has been redesigned to offer a family or a group of friends the option of enjoying the boat's outdoor spaces at any time of day. The stern cockpit has been extended to offer a generous central sun pad - unusual on a boat this size - in addition to the external galley and the forward relaxation area, which has a sun pad that doubles up as a sofa. The interiors comprise a galley or a sofa area and two double cabins, one with a double bed, a separate bathroom and two entrances, and the other with twin beds that can be converted into a double. In the standard configuration, the boat mounts two Yanmar engines rated 250 hp, delivering a top speed of 30 knots.

Turning to the other boats participating in the Genoa Show, Libeccio 6.50 is one of the brand's most storied models, but still ideal for those seeking an open that's versatile, stable and manoeuvrable even in challenging conditions. The Libeccio 7.50 was the first model in the open range to have a generous sun pad on top of a spacious cabin below. Libeccio 8.50 Sport is a powerful day cruiser that also offers excellent liveability below deck, with a spacious double cabin, a full galley and a separate WC. Libeccio 8.5 Walkaround, with a top speed of 30 knots, was designed in 2021 to provide liveability unprecedented in this type and size of boat. And lastly, a huge success both in Italy and abroad, Libeccio 9.5 Walkaround is a highly appealing boat designed for a dynamic and young-minded public and featuring various innovative solutions.
