Ramsgate Week Day 5

by Piers Hodges 12 Aug 2023 08:26 PDT 6-11 August 2023

After yet another party night in the Club House, our crews enjoyed a warm day out on the water in brisk breezes.

The IRC classes and Cruiser classes 4, 5 and 6 were started offshore from the Committee Boat, Cristabel on courses around Knoll and Brake. Cruiser class 7 was started from the shoreside Race Hut and their course of 10.7 nm took them down to the Deal Dolphin mark.

With many thanks to our headline sponsors St Lawrence College, whose representative, Jo, presented the trophies at this evening's prize-giving together with the Lady Mayoress of Ramsgate, and the Harbour Master, Matthew Kenny.

Special thanks are due to Royal Lymington Yacht Club, who's race officer Chris Knox did a sterling job, and Downs Sailing Club for providing their excellent support RIB and crew.

You can view more fantastic action shots by our official photographer for the week, Nick Champion, on his website championmarinephotography.co.uk
