Seago, one of the UK's leading suppliers of marine safety and water sports equipment, has announced that their complete Sea Master Plus liferaft range is compliant to the latest ISO 9650-1 Type 1 standard.

The Sea Master Plus range which consists of liferafts ranging from 4-14 persons is ideal for offshore sailing on recreational or coded craft, charter, light commercial and small fishing vessels.

The new regulation ensures that 0.5 litres of water rations per person are included within the liferaft safety pack, as well as two TPA's. Additional safety pack items include two parachute rockets, three hand flares, sea anchor and paddles.

Kieron Sullivan, Marketing Manager at Seago comments, 'It's incredibly exciting to have a new introduction into the ISO range. The new approvals presented us with a great opportunity here at Seago yachting to not only refresh our existing range in order to target a wider audience, but to extend it to include a 14 person option. We are seeing many of our customers becoming more safety conscious and so, to have an ISO liferaft range that features design considerations found on our SOLAS approved rafts, is a great selling point. As a team we are excited to explore the possibilities that this new approval brings to the market".

The recently launched 14 person raft is a great addition to the Sea Master Plus range. It proves an ideal cost-effective solution for vessels, when space-saving and weight reduction is a major consideration. All liferafts within the range feature an inflatable boarding step (as used in our SOLAS liferafts), twin independent Butyl rubber chambers for increased buoyancy, 4 x 55 litre water ballast pockets for additional stability and an insulated floor for increased heat retention. The high-vis canopy is constructed from rip-stop Nylon, which is highly durable and waterproof.

The Sea Master Plus rafts are packed in the newly designed machine manufactured containers. This ensures the design and construction is more slimline, lighter weight and highly polished. Valise options are also available.

Owners will benefit from Seago's servicing and support programme, offering a range of different options from speedy-servicing packages, to service discount schemes for all registered liferafts, plus a full European and worldwide service network.

All liferafts within the Sea Master Plus range are covered by Seago's 18 year warranty. Seago's entire Sea Master Plus liferaft range; including the new 14 person option, is now available and in stock.
