Poole Week 2023: less than a month to go

by David Harding 28 Jul 2023 06:45 PDT 20-25 August 2023

With Poole Week starting on 20th August, now's a good time to get your entry in. Discounted rates apply until 31st July.

More than 130 boats have already signed up to join in the fun, the home entries from Parkstone Yacht Club being joined by others from Weston, Itchenor, West Hoe, Wembley, Burghfield, Grafham, Portland, Harwich, Middle Nene, Spinnaker, North Lincolnshire, Bough Beach, Oxford and elsewhere.

All will be looking forward to great racing in Poole Harbour, while the entertainment and food will make sure no one gets bored or goes hungry ashore. A festival of street food and live music awaits on Wednesday evening and there's much more throughout the week.

Those looking to improve their positions in their fleet will be pleased to know that Adam Bowers will be coaching on the water and running post-race analysis back in the club house.

One way and another, Poole Week promises to be a full and fun week for everyone involved, thanks in no small part to the title sponsor, Bournemouth Digital. Support is also provided by Badger Beer, Rooster, Hartley Boats, Ovington Boats and Salcombe Distillery Co, producers of the world-famous Salcombe Gin.
