Will it be a record-breaking event?

This year's Supernova Inland Championship on 2nd and 3rd September could break records as there are already well over 40 entrants with six weeks to go! Could the event attract 60+ boats, or even hit the maximum of 80? This bumper turnout is due in no small part to the venue, which is one of the finest in the UK: Grafham Water.

Thanks to our generous sponsor, Hartley Boats, entry is HALF PRICE until 31st July, so get your entry in quick! After that, the price reverts to £55, with doors closing on 30th August. The format is four races per day, eight in total, with a two-course meal included on Saturday evening as an incentive to stick around for the AGM. Campers and campervans are welcome, with booking available online.

Remarkably, only four sailors have won the Inlands since 2008: Mike Gibson, Gavin Young, Matt Biggs and Cliff Milliner. At least three of those previous champions are expected to be sailing at Grafham SC this year. Can anyone else break in? It's going to be exciting to find out. And, as ever with the Supernovas, prizes are awarded throughout the fleet, so everyone has a chance of winning something.

Supernovas at Cotswold
It was an 'eyes out of the boat' sort of day 25 entries including 11 visitors were greeted with sunny spells but a cold easterly wind which at Cotswold means big wind shifts, so the race officer Steve Crocker did a great job of setting a nice course with two beats and a variety of runs and reaches.
