One Sails GBR (South) will be our primary support and partner for Abersoch Keelboat Week 2023. This is a fantastic addition for the event and One Sails will have a team present with us all week with supporting racing analysis and on the water help in addition to a mobile sail repair service. There is more detail yet to be finalised, but One Sails' involvement as a major international sailmaker will enhance the event tremendously.

Only 4 weeks to go until this popular regatta week

Much organisation goes on behind the scenes to ensure we have a great weeks sailing and partying and this is made so much easier if the organisers can see the likely number of boats competing and then class splits can be arranged accordingly.

White sails / Gentleman's classes

In 2023 we hope to introduce a two tier white sail fleet that will allow the real cruisers to have their own start away from some of the racier entries. In addition to make this fleet fairer for all boats we are adopting a rule used in Dun Laoghaire that all entries must have a working jib furler.

Pandora class

A fleet start will be arranged if they can muster 8 entries. Please enter now..

Sports Boats

We are very keen to encourage the Sports boats and with two new J70's parked at Plas Heli we really hope that we can encourage enough entries for a fleet start.

Windward leeward courses offshore.

IRC 1 & 2

Offshore windward leewards with a shorter length course for the IRC 2 boats.

Currently our guesstimate is that we will have 8 boats in IRC 1 with the exciting new addition of Car Gods a Kerr 37 and probably 10 boats in IRC 2 which will also be the home for the smaller keel boats.

Current IRC certs are usually required but we may be able to allocate appropriate ratings for anyone not holding a cert.

Shoreside

  • Daily prizing-giving will be held in the bar with entertainment and light bites.
  • A closing party with live music will be arranged for the Friday evening.
  • And more!
