The 14th edition of the CNB Rendez-Vous was a great success. Set it in the idyllic surrounding of Yacht Club Punta Ala and marina.

An important date with CNB owners, the event attracted yachts from the CNB 60 to CNB 76 with the owners and crew enjoying both the shore side hospitality and some competitive racing.

A well proven formula: the event has become an important date with CNB owners and their crews who gathered in Punta Ala from 16th to 18th June. As many as 14 of the French yard's yachts ranging from 60 feet (18 metres) to 76 feet (22 metres) attended the event. The yachts and crews arrived on the 16th of June to a warm welcome of the CNB Team at the Marina Punta Ala thanks to the direction and support of the Punta Ala Yacht Club. The regatta took place over the following two days. On Saturday, while waiting for the breeze to fill in, Champagne Thiénot, one of the trusted event partners delivered to all the participants a bottle of champagne ready for toasting. In the early afternoon a westerly breeze of 7-9 knots came up in the early afternoon, more than enough to complete two races on a coastal course between the Sparviero Island and the Gulf of Punta Ala with a distance of around 6 miles.

The fleet were divided into two classes; the eight Bordeaux 60 in the first group and six CNB 66 and CNB 76 in the second group. John Reardon's Maltese Bordeaux 60 The Rock and Swiss owner Sven Hansen's CNB 76 Uconic lead the two classes in all three races.

Saturday evening the owners and crew gathered for the gala dinner hosted by the Punta Ala Yacht Club in the clubs' gardens.

Back on the water on Sunday for the third and final race and with the help of the sirocco wind of around 12 knots the crews made light work of the final race. The rendez-vous ended with a well-attended prize-giving ceremony at the Punta Ala Yacht Club. In the CNB 60 category, Richard Bedere's French Mr Beelzebuth (half time scores: 2, 2, 3) and Hans Peter Howald's German Dumia (5, 1, 5) as well as the Maltese team of The Rock (1, 3, 1) mounted the podium.

In the category of CNB 76 and CNB 66, Uconic (1, 1, 1) was followed by Renato Mazzeschi's CNB 66 Anna Bolina 3 in the second position and Italo Mariani's CNB 76 Bele of London in the third postion.

The new venue of Punta Ala was a great location and proved to be a wonderful opportunity to start the summer season, meet again and share the spirit and passion of CNB owners and friends.

"We are proud that so many boats and owners, who have recently joined the Solaris family, took part in the event," said Sales Director Vincent Arnaud, "especially on this occasion, which is a "première" for us, since last year CNB and Solaris had participated together in the Solaris Cup in Porto Rotondo. This year we have returned to the traditional format and have 'separated' the two events, but it is with great pleasure that we note that the enthusiasm is unchanged Punta Ala proved to be the perfect choice in terms of weather conditions and the hospitality of the Punta Ala Marina and Yacht Club".

CNB acquired by Solaris Yachts in 2021, is one of the world's leading producers of offshore sailing yachts produced in series. The Rendez-Vous attracted examples from all of CNB fleet: the Bordeaux 60, the CNB 66 and the CNB 76, which is now the world's best-selling maxi yacht produced in series with over 35 units at sea.

There are new models coming soon, starting from the CNB 78 that will be launched in world premiere in September at the Cannes boat show, but also the CNB 88 and soon a CNB 6X! A big thanks to all the participants, we look forward to 2024, this promises to be an exciting event as it will also mark Solaris Yachts' 50th anniversary.

Our thanks go to the cooperation and assistance of the Yacht Club Punta Ala and the Marina Punta Ala.
