The Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour arrives in Taranto for its fifth leg, which also marks the halfway point before heading towards the final destination of Venice.

This morning, in the presence of the Mayor of Taranto, Rinaldo Melucci, Admiral Flavio Biaggi, Commander of the Maritime Command South, Anna Carmela Minuto, Board Member of Difesa Servizi, and Riccardo Simoneschi from SSI Sports and Events, the ceremonial ribbon was cut to inaugurate the Race Village of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour.

The performance of the Marina Militare Fanfare set the stage for the rich program of events that the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour will offer to the passionate audience and the city of Taranto. The program of entertainment will engage the citizens of Taranto until Tuesday, July 18, as they have warmly embraced the participants of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour.

Meanwhile, on the racecourse located at the foot of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour's Race Village, regattas have commenced for the WASZP and Wingfoil classes, providing thrilling displays as athletes compete for additional points in their respective rankings. These combined with the offshore class of the Beneteau Figaro 3 will determine the winners of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour 2023 in Venice.

Currently, the Acone Associati team leads with 14 points, holding a significant 16-point lead over the Guardia di Finanza team (30 points) and the Carta Giovani team (32 points). Aeronautica Militare (35 points) and Città di Genova (40 points) complete the provisional top five ranking after the Vibo Valentia leg.

Anna Carmela Mutolo (Board Member of Difesa Servizi S.p.A.) - "Taranto is the ideal city to host the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour, an event promoted by Difesa Servizi to showcase the Marina Militare brand and promote the beauty of our territory through sailing, together with ENIT. The Taranto leg holds even greater significance due to the commitment of the Marina Militare - with which the city has a special bond - the Municipality of Taranto, and the Lega Navale section, who have done an extraordinary job to ensure the success of this event. Difesa Servizi will continue to promote initiatives of this kind to disseminate defense culture and enhance the assets of the Armed Forces."

Riccardo Simoneschi (SSI Sports and Events) - "It is a great honor to be present with all our sailors in this wonderful city that embodies the sea in its soul. The Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour has once again received an extraordinary embrace from the city, even in this leg. We will reciprocate this affection with everything that the races and the evening events of our village have to offer. Thank you, Taranto, and thank you, Puglia, on behalf of the entire Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour!"

In the Vibo Valentia - Taranto leg, the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour 2023 also promoted the "Discover Where You Port" project by ENIT (Italian National Tourism Agency), featuring seventeen itineraries inspired by historical routes. For this leg, the organizing committee strategically overlapped certain sections with the Rotta Grecanica (Grecanic Route), a journey to be explored between Crotone and Taranto.

The Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour 2023 is organized by Difesa Servizi S.p.A. and SSI Events with the support of the Marina Militare.
