Australian clubs get ready to take the SAILING Champions League World Finals by storm

As the 2023 SAILING Champions League season gets to the pointy end the focus now shifts to the Open, Youth and Women's World Finals coming up over the next 3 months.
This year there are 2 Australian teams heading over to the SAILING Champions League Open Finals in Travemünde, Germany. Robbie Deussen and his team, Matt Hansen, Jesse Mitton and Alex Blacker are representing Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia (CYCSA) alongside Hugo Butterworth and his team Anabelle Sampson, Josh Paulson and Rob Brewer who are representing Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club (RPAYC). CYCSA and RPAYC will be competing against the best Open teams July 22-25 to claim the title as the best club in the world which Australia has done once before in 2019 with Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron.
September 1-3 we also have 3 Australian teams heading to Kiel, Germany for the SAILING Champions League Youth Final. Carter Baker and his team Sophie Ward, Sailor Cowen, Murphy Cowen and Josh Hinks will be representing Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia, alongside Daniel Kemp and his team, Isabella Holdsworth, Lachlan Wallace, Louis Tilly and Hayley Fisher representing Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club. The 2023 SAILING Champions League - Asia Pacific Champions Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron will also be competing with the same winning team from the Asia Pacific Finals, Zac West is back on the stick alongside his crew Jameson Prescott, Massimo Henderson, Lauren Tandy and Anabelle Connery.
SAILING Champions League - Asia Pacific Event Director, Mark Turnbull OAM, is proud to announce Australia will have a Women's Team represented at the SAILING Champions League Women's Final in Sundby, Denmark, September 14-17. Woollahra Sailing Club's Mina Ferguson will be helming the team alongside crew India Gilbert, Brooke Wilson, and TBC. Mark Turnbull said "it's great to see the growth of the event here in Australia and the increasing demand to have teams represented at multiple events. We are excited to have Australia represented in the Women's Final this year and looking forward to sending a team every year."
