Dubai Duty Free (DDF) has announced its title sponsorship of the highly anticipated SB20 World Championships 2024, SB20 Middle East Championships and SB20 Asia Pacific Championships.

The prestigious sailing events, organized by the Dubai Offshore Sailing Club (DOSC), will showcase the world's best sailors competing for glory in the heart of Dubai.

The SB20 Middle East Championship is scheduled to take place from 1st to 3rd December 2023.

Building on the momentum, the pre-SB20 World Championships, also known as the Asia Pacific Championships 2024, will be held from 2nd to 4th February 2024. This precursor event will further elevate the competition and set the stage for the ultimate challenge—the Official SB20 World Championships 2024, which will run from 11th to 16th February. With the world's top sailors converging in Dubai, the event promises exhilarating races and a display of exceptional sailing skills.

Sailors and skippers, along with their families, can look forward to an unforgettable experience at the picturesque onsite village, featuring live entertainment and a vibrant atmosphere. These exciting events will be a true celebration of the sailing community, fostering camaraderie and friendly competition among participants.

The partnership between DOSC and DDF is not new. Both organizations collaborated previously for the highly successful DDF Regatta held last year in December, and before that, in December 2021. This long-standing history of collaboration and shared passion for sailing makes DDF the perfect partner to support these prestigious championships.

Commenting on the title sponsorship Ramesh Cidambi, COO of Dubai Duty Free said, "We are delighted to be on board as the title sponsor of three SB20 Championship events namely, the SB20 World Championships 2024, SB20 Middle East Championships and SB20 Asia Pacific Championships. Following our successful sponsorship of the Dubai Duty Free Sailing League Regatta in the past two years, we believe that these new events will further elevate the sport which has a very strong following both in the region and internationally. Dubai Offshore Sailing Club is a great venue with a committed team and we are pleased to partner with them once more."

Commenting on this remarkable opportunity, Simon Reeves, the Commodore of the Dubai Offshore Sailing Club stated, "We are honored to host the SB20 World Championships 2024, SB20 Middle East Championships and SB20 Asia Pacific Championships in Dubai, and we are delighted to have Dubai Duty Free as our title sponsor once again. The support and commitment from Dubai Duty Free have been instrumental in making these events possible. We look forward to welcoming the international sailing community to our shores and showcasing the exceptional sailing conditions Dubai has to offer."

The Rear Commodore of the Dubai Offshore Sailing Club added, "The SB20 championships are renowned for their thrilling races and fierce competition. We are excited to witness the incredible skills of the sailors and the electric atmosphere these events will create. With Dubai Duty Free's sponsorship, we can provide a memorable experience not only for the participants but also for their families, ensuring a festive and enjoyable time on and off the water."

Dubai Duty Free's partnership with DOSC for the SB20 Middle East, Asia Pacific, and World Championships reaffirms their commitment to promoting world-class sports and further solidifies their position as a leading supporter of the local sporting community.
