BMComposites launch innovative antenna flag pole solution for Starlink

by BMComposites 23 Jun 2023 18:44 AEST

This innovative system has been designed specifically to suit the Starlink Maritime high performance antenna, and provides dual function as the sailing yacht's flag pole.

Many sailing yachts have found that when these antennas are spreader mounted, the mast obscures the signal. Our flag pole solution overcomes this problem, without impinging on deck space or hindering sailing manoeuvres.

"We were sailing with a 30-degree heel angle and doing 13kts of boat speed, whilst enjoying 390mbs download speeds!" - Captain of SY Shagala Bagala.

The panel is installed on the ensign staff mount, which is engineered and constructed in carbon fibre. The antenna pole is suitable for sailing yachts of all sizes.

Key Features:

  • Proven to provide the optimal position for interference-free, high speed connectivity
  • Constructed in high-strength autoclave-cured carbon fibre
  • Custom yacht finishes
  • Internal flag halyard fittings
  • Stainless steel or Titanium mounting base
  • Variable length between 2000-2600mm

These flag poles are available with a lead time of just 2 weeks and can be installed on-site in 24 hours.
