The June episode of the World Sailing Show opens in Almere, The Netherlands, to catch up with the winners of the recent Allianz Regatta, the final event of the World Cup Series, as the sailors gear up for the Allianz Sailing World Championships in less than two months' time.

It was a very successful week for the home nation, as they won four of the six classes, and the World Sailing Show hears from the Dutch quartet of gold medal winners Bart Lambriex, Maxime Jonker, Duko Bos and Luuc van Opzeeland. The French team also enjoyed success on the water in Almere with Axel Mazella and Jessie Kampman taking gold in the men's and women's Formula Kite event respectively.

Australia may have won their third successive SailGP title, but Denmark picked up significant silverware as winners of this season's Impact League. Introduced for Season 2, the?Impact?League tracks the positive actions our teams make to reduce their overall carbon footprint.

The Danish team introduced its 'more speed, less plastic' initiative for this season in partnership with the One Ocean Foundation and committed to removing 10kg of plastic from the ocean for every 1km/hour of speed they notched throughout the season with the ultimate goal of removing at least eight tons of plastic waste by the end of Season 3 in San Francisco.

Crews in The Ocean Race depart Newport, RI, for Aarhus, Denmark. Holcim showed their speed, covering 640.91 nautical miles - the same distance as London to Barcelona - in just 24 hours to shatter the speed record for monohulls. The record would not stand for long, though, as Malizia took advantage of the misfortune of both 11th Hour Racing and Biotherm to post a new record of 641.13 nautical miles in 24 hours.

Elsewhere, the PWA World Tour hosted its first slalom event of the season in Torbole, on Lake Garda. A new edition to the calendar offered a thrilling display despite the unusual weather.

The World Sailing Show also heads to St Tropez for the start of this year's Rolex Giraglia. In the prelude to the 70th anniversary of the event, a series of in-port races served as a curtain raiser to the main race. Among the 132 strong fleet were two-time winner Magic Carpet Cubed and 2021 Sydney-Hobart winner Blackjack 100.

TP52 Super Series heads to Italy for Scarlino Racing Week where 11 boats from seven nations take on the Tuscan coast for the second regatta of the season. The World Sailing Show goes behind the scenes to hear from the skippers and crew of the leaders and favourites. The Series now moves on to Menorca for the third leg in July ahead of the Rolex TP52 World Championship in Barcelona from 21-26 August.

Produced and released every month, the World Sailing Show shares the latest news, events, and captivating stories from across the sport with audiences around the world. Each episode is available to watch for free on the World Sailing YouTube channel and the World Sailing website.
