This year's event is hosted by Plymouth Youth Sailing at Mount Batten Watersports & Activities Centre, with racing to take place on the iconic Plymouth Sound and beyond the breakwater. Nearly 40 sailors took advantage of early entry and with several last minute entries expected, the fleet promises close racing across the four days.

The Europe class in the UK has undergone a steady resurgence over the past 5 years, building a fleet of enthusiastic sailors from a wide range of backgrounds. With ages ranging from U18 to 70+, sailor weight from 50kg to 90kg and classic boats competing against the newest boats from Winner and Synergy Marine, the diversity amongst the fleet creates a unique culture between sailors, and ensures close racing throughout the entire fleet.

A strong international contingent, with sailors from Belgium and France, will also be making the trip across the channel to test themselves against the British fleet.

Essex-based marine fittings manufacturer, Allen Brothers join the event as title sponsor. Allen's Head of Marketing, Ben Harden, commented, "The class has been going from strength to strength over the last few years and it shows with the addition of a new UK class builder who is utilising many of our British made performance sailing products. So, we're pleased to be supporting the UK Europe Nationals for 2023 with an array of exciting prizes".

UK Sailmakers, a leading sailmaker within the class both in the UK and internationally, has also offered their support of the event, with an incredible headline prize of a brand new Europe mainsail! The UK Europe Class Association endeavours to ensure no one leaves empty handed, with a prize draw at the prize-giving meaning all competitors have the chance to take home the UK Sails prize as well as a huge selection of Allen products!

With a stunning forecast promising wind ranging from 10-20kts and temperatures in excess of 20 degreesC throughout the event, there really are no excuses to be missing this spectacular event! Enter now at www.mount-batten-centre.com/europe-nationals-2023
