The first leg of the North Wales Dragon (Youth Travellers) Series took place on Sunday 14th May.

After a training day on the 13th which included the club's annual Bangor Pier Race (training?!) won by a Mirror, 14 Tera and Toppers had 4 races in varying conditions from the gentle 10-12 kt South Westerly to the more exciting 18-20 kt flat out planing with a few spills (but not many).

Held over a neap tide, racing was nearly but not quite tide free, courses were set to avoid the worst of the tide and with increasing winds, post lunch, a simple triangle provided challenging and exhilarating sailing.

Next fixtures of the North Wales Dragon Series 19th August Llyn Brenig SC and 20th October Shotwick S&SC.

Tera Pro results:

1st Megan Gowers-Riley (PDSC-CHYF)
2nd Isla McKeown (Gresford SC)
3rd Millie Greenhalgh

Tera Sport results:

1st Phoebe Greenhalgh (PDSC-CHYF)
2nd Harry Bennell (Shotwick S & SC)
3rd Evie Bennell (Shotwick S & SC)

Topper results:

1st Thomas Venning (Shotwick S& SC)
2nd Sophie Venning (Shotwick S & SC)
