Rémy Cointreau owned Mount Gay Rum named official 31 Race Circuit and UK Cape 31 Class partner

As long standing supporters of yacht racing, Mount Gay Rum is pleased to be announce it's partnership with this hot high performance one design class racing on the South Coast of England this summer.

Known for being as much fun off the water as on the water, the Cape 31 Class is the perfect match for Mount Gay Rum.

Mount Gay will launch the partnership at Round 1 on Saturday 20th May with Aprés Sail party at the base in Hamble. With limited edition Cape 31 Red Caps, the Cape 31's and Mount Gay will be painting the Solent red this summer. With 24 teams entered so far it's set to be the biggest ever Cape 31 fleet after the 21 boat National Championship in September 2022.

Mount Gay has a strong connection with the sailing community and is a favorite amongst the sailing community. From a thirst-quenching Black Barrel daiquiri after the race to a Mount Gay XO on the rocks at the Captain's briefing, Mount Gay Rum brand is always present. George Neep, Mount Gay Brand Manager (UK) says, " Sailing has been part of Mount Gay's DNA for many years and is now firmly embedded in the sailing community culture. We are very proud to be continuing to collaborate within this sport and sponsor this prestigious and growing class of boats and look forward to many more years of partnership"

To complement the Class Partnership, Mount Gay will also support Cape 31 team "Khumbu" owned by Guy Gillon. Khumbu will illuminate the sky with the iconic red with their Mount Gay branded Spinnakers and on the boat with its red and black color scheme and team kit. As an added incentive to win, winners will be gifted a special limited edition 40th anniversary red cap to add to their collection.
