China's first Excess 11, handled by Excess's dealer in mainland China, Vastar Yachts, safely arrived on Hainan island in late April after shipping from Excess's factory in Vendée, France and having a stopover at Hong Kong.
The setup, tuning and boat preparation took place in Hong Kong with the support of Excess APAC Team.
The delivery team from Vastar Yachts departed from Hong Kong on 24th April, 2023 and arrived at Clearwater Bay Marina in Hainan after nearly 60 hours of non-stop sailing at 8 knots in average, ranging over 400 nautical miles with a swell of 1.5 to 3 meters.
"The Excess 11 is proved to be a reliable catamaran for long cruising, offering exhilarating sailing sensations."
As the entry model of the Excess catamaran family, the Excess 11 is an uncompromisingly good performer in every aspect. She is innovatively designed with superior sailing performance, effectively-allocated spaces and comfort under sail.
The twin helm station aft is one of the iconic features of the Excess family, offering great manoeuvrability and thrilling sailing sensations. The retractable Bimini over the cockpit allows greater flexibility and visibility at sea, offering an option to either indulge yourself with a starry night or protect yourself from sunshine by adjusting the bimini.
The Excess 11 is available with 3 or 4 cabin options; both are with a 2-head setup, boasting a comfortable owner's cabin, a decent galley, a relaxing saloon, as well as ample storage spaces.
