It was a huge pleasure to welcome Andrew Hill Smith to Whitstable Yacht Club this weekend. Andrew stopped off as he sails his Laser unsupported round Great Britain.

Andrew arrived mid-afternoon on Friday, stayed over on Saturday as winds were too light for his next passage so joined in our afternoon race and enjoyed the WYC music night on Saturday evening.

Despite having a great time on Saturday night, Andrew set off to Clacton accompanied by club member Harry Newton for the first part of his journey.

Andrew is raising money for a number of charities which can be found via his website and his progress can be tracked here.

His Facebook page is www.facebook.com/laseraroundtheuk

Good luck and fair winds Andrew
