Live Ocean Racing: First event in the 2023 EFT26 Series starts Friday, April 7

The Live Ocean Racing 2023 team is getting set for competition in France in the opening event of the ETF26 Series happening as part of the annual Spi Ouest-France Banque Populaire Grand Ouest regatta in Quiberon Bay, France.
Racing starts Friday, April 7. The Quiberon event is the first event in the five event ETF26 series.
Leading the team is New Zealand’s foremost female foiling sailor Liv Mackay, sailing with new team members Seb Menzies and Serena Woodall. A clash with Princess Sofia Regatta, means Alex Maloney is competing in the 49erFX in Mallorca, Spain, and Danish sailor Katja Salskov-Iversen is filling in.
“We're super excited to be back for the 2023 ETF series for Live Ocean Racing, and really proud to be back partnering with Omega. The team has had a really good few days of practice here, and we’re excited. It’s almost time to go racing,” says Liv Mackay
“We’re feeling pretty good. Definitely in at the deep end – as the first few days here have been pretty windy. We’re learning heaps,” Seb Menzies reports.
“We’ve managed to get out for a couple of training sessions," continues Serena Woodall. "Today we did some practice racing against a few of the other boats. It’s really good to be amongst the fleet and line up against some other boats. Having a really good time here in France and excited to get into racing this week,” she adds.
Racing runs over four days from April 7-10, 2023.

- Spi Ouest-France / April 7 to 10, 2023 / La Trinité sur Mer (France)
- Raid Quiberon / May 31 to June 3, 2023 / Quiberon (France)
- Foiling Week / June 28 to July 1, 2023 / Lac de Garde (Italy)
- Grand Pavois La Rochelle Foiling Event / September 20 to 23, 2023 / La Rochelle (France)
- Grand Prix Foiling Mar Menor / October 4 to 7, 2023 / Los Alcazares (Spain)
