Emirates Team NZ finished their training session with a flypast North Head, at the entrance to Auckland's Waitemata Harbour, giving still and video shooters a never to be forgotten view of the AC75 sailing at over 40kts.

In fact the AC75 came so close to their vantage point, that we had to switch to a second camera with a wider angle lens, as the flying AC75 passed close by.

Higher up North Head, videographer Justin Mitchell caught the same action from the America's Cup champion came very close to shore, late on a fine Autumn afternoon. The flying AC75 emerged from beneath the trees on the cliff edge to give an interesting perspective on a foiling gybe. Sharp eyed viewers will see that there are 10 crew aboard Te Rehutai - according to the AC37 Recon team interview and report, there were two extra crew members aboard that day from the engineering and design teams - getting a front-row seat on the upgraded AC75.

For those in need of an America's Cup fix, check out the other 300+ videos in Justin's channel, Justin Mitchell TV covering the 2021 and 2024 America's Cups and the build up. So far Justin has had almost 3.5million views of his America's Cup collection.

In an Emirates Team New Zealand produced video, triple Olympic Gold Medalist Hamish Bond and the other cyclors on board Te Rehutai, tell what it is like sailing for their first time on a yacht, let alone a foiler, and what it is like sailing at speeds of over 50kts.
