Whisper-Yachts, the innovative French company, will present its eco-responsible and autonomous catamarans at the international multihull boat show in La Grande-Motte.

Whisper-Yachts combines luxury and responsibility

Whisper-Yachts integrates the best of technology aboard solar yachts to bring pleasure and responsibility together. Whisper-Yachts reduces the carbon impact on the environment by 90% and produces renewable energy all year round.

The Whisper-Yachts were designed based on catamarans, using less energy than monohulls and having larger surfaces exposed to the sun, which is ideal for integrating solar panels.

The Whisper 50 (15 meters) is now available for sale and will be delivered for the first time in 2024. By 2026, 3 types of solar powered motor-yachts (40, 50 and 60 feet) will be developed, produced and sold by Whisper-Yachts.

With a top speed of 18 knots, Whisper 50 offers unlimited autonomy at 5-6 knots.

Batteries can be charged from 3 sources:

  • Solar panels,
  • Connection to shore power supply,
  • Standby generator(s).

2030 goal: Build a virtuous ecosystem

"Because respect for the seas and oceans is our primary concern, we want to contribute to building a sustainable ecosystem across the entire yachting industry chain and aim for marine eco-responsibility by 2030" said Guy Marchal, President and Founder of Whisper-Yachts.

Thus, the Whisper-Yachts R&D team immediately embarks on innovation projects to move from 2024 to:

  • Interchangeable solar panels and on-board batteries for almost unlimited durability with recycling facilities.
  • Installation of showers that recycle and reuse 92% of the water needed in a closed system.
  • Development of an anchorless technology to preserve the seabed and reduce the noise footprint of yachts.
  • Replacing diesel-powered generators with hydrogen fuel cells.
  • The development of new propeller propulsion systems.
  • A 90% recyclable boat by 2030.

Moreover, the boat becomes a real solar power generator that can reinject into the grid its green solar electricity produced to bring cities to develop eco-responsible marinas and autonomous in green electricity.
