The International J/70 Class Association Executive Committee has appointed Mark Foster of Canyon Lake, Texas USA to fill the vacant Technical Chair position created by the resignation of R. Polk Wagner. "We are very happy to have Mark join the Executive Committee," said Vittorio Di Mauro, IJ70CA Executive Committee President. "We are lucky to have someone with his reputation join the J/70 Executive Committee."

Mark Foster, an International Race Officer with World Sailing and a National Race Officer and National Judge with US Sailing, has been the PRO for five of eight J/70 World Championships, and competed in others. He has served as the PRO in countless World and Continental Championships of one-design Classes all over the world. His expertise will be a huge asset to the Class as the Executive Committee manages the incredible growth of the J/70 worldwide. "I am looking forward to continuing my relationship with the J/70 Class and supporting its growth," Foster stated.

The International Class would like to thank Polk Wagner for nearly five years of service as Technical Committee Chair. His efforts were instrumental in managing the Technical Committee and mastering J/70 documentation. Polk has left the Class in a better place than he found it, and the Class will forever benefit from his service. He will be missed, but we wish him well on his next adventure.
