Boating Industry Academy immersion sessions and Open Day

Last week, students of the Boating Industry Academy participated in their first industry immersion sessions at the facilities of supporting partners including Watsons Marine Engineering, Stella Marine, Lightwave Yachts, Gold Coast City Marina, Riviera Marine, Seatech Marine, Quintrex Boats, Horizon Aluminium Boats, and AME at the Coomera Marine Precinct.
The sessions gave the students the opportunity to experience first-hand the manufacturing processes involved in the boating industry. In addition, they had the privilege of visiting the Bumblebee 4, the winner of the 1979 Sydney Hobart race.
The Boating Industry Academy launched in January with 19 students and is planning a second intake of students in July. Interested students and parents can register for the next open day on Wednesday, March 22nd, via the academy's website.
