The third episode of the series produced by the IMOCA Class with Ouest-France and Harken is out! Let's discover together how the teams involved in The Ocean Race managed this stopover, before the Great South.

This video takes you into the heart of the preparation of the five IMOCA teams in Cape Town, now off to tackle the 12,750-mile leg in the Southern Seas.

On the program, a climb up Table Mountain with Team Malizia, Holcim-PRB's victory, Guyot environnement - Team Europe's sail repair, the question of 11th Hour Racing's foils, the pressure mounting on Biotherm... and many more moments around the life of sailors, their families and their teams, all seen through the eyes of polaRYSE and their cameras.

For this third episode, we are pleased to welcome Harken as a new partner of the series. Harken is the leading brand in hardware and equipment for sailboats of all sizes. Harken is present from dinghies to Maxi-Yachts, on the Olympic Games to the America's Cup, and on many IMOCA.

Eight episodes of STOPOVER

The STOPOVER series spans out across eight episodes of around twenty minutes filmed from the start and at each stopover. The series will explore the repercussions of the previous leg and anticipate the next. Families, replacements, injuries or repairs, the race continues in the hands of the shore team and in the minds of the sailors. We follow the characters, we discover and develop an attachment. We get a chance to go into the locker room of teams negotiating one of the craziest playgrounds imaginable.

In this third episode:

  • The sailors: Benjamin Dutreux (Guyot Environnement-Team Europe), Sam Davies and Anthony Marchand (Biotherm).
  • The On Board Reporters: Ronan Gladu (Biotherm)
  • The shore teams with a focus here on Corentin Cusant and Rebecca Sainson (Team Malizia), Etienne Moy (Biotherm), James O'Mahony and Jean-Martin Grisar (11th Hour Racing Team), Jimmy Le Baut (Guyot Environnement-Team Europe).
