Dream Yacht Worldwide, one of the world's leading ocean tourism companies, shares its list of some of its many top destinations to consider exploring by sea this spring - all of which are great for groups, couples, and even solo trips.

A spring break on the sea! Enjoy these beloved destinations from a different view: Snorkle in Abaco, Bahamas

Whether you want to cruise by the cabin or charter bareboat, the Abacos in the Bahamas is a true vacation paradise, where you can discover over 130 miles of cays and islands. Yacht charter guests enjoy the calm, electric-blue waters and warm breezes which lure visitors to this destination time and time again. Visit the Abaco Out Islands and you'll experience idyllic locations largely unspoiled by crowds and tourism.

Fishing and diving are world-class in the Abaco Islands, and keen snorkelers should definitely head to the seven-mile beach of Great Guana Cay and the impressive Pelican Cays Land and Sea Park with its colorful coral reefs and underwater caves.

From Dream Yacht's base at Conch Inn Marina on Great Abaco Island, you can easily sail to Treasure Cay, often voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Or call in at the small colonial townships Elbow Cay, making sure you don't miss the island's romantic and remote Tahiti Beach. Green Turtle Cay and Man-O-War Cay are definitely a must-see on any Abaco yacht charter, as are the famous Bahamas swimming pigs at No Name Cay.

Sail Belize and enjoy its calm waters, favorable trade winds and a network of 450 isolated cayes sitting in the tropical Caribbean Sea. Guests typically take time out to see the Mayan ruins and explore the world's second longest unbroken barrier reef which, with its diverse underwater ecosystem, is a renowned snorkeling and scuba destination.

Sailing in Belize can include a stop at the Blue Hole Natural Monument or a trip to Glover's Reef, Lighthouse Reef and Turneffe - three atolls offering the chance to swim among 500 species of fish and 100 types of coral, as well as rays and dolphins. Sailing in these open waters during your Belize yacht charter will require a local skipper.

Dream Yacht's base is at Robert's Grove Marina in Placencia, where the sailing ground just off the coast is full of sandy low-lying cayes in beautiful, undeveloped and peaceful settings.

On land, travellers spend time discovering Mayan ruins and meet the locals who, as well as English, speak a dialect called Belizean Creole. The nation's multi-cultural influences are everywhere, from Mexican/Jamaican fusion cuisine to punta afro-Caribbean music.

Cruise the Caribbean.

You can't go wrong with a sailing vacation in the Caribbean during spring break. One of Dream Yacht's most recommended sailing destinations is the British Virgin Islands (BVI) and there are several reasons why. BVI boat charters give travelers the chance to explore more than 60 idyllic islands and islets at the northern end of the Lesser Antilles. With year-round balmy temperatures, lush green hillsides and dazzling white sandy beaches, the BVI is a near-perfect vacation destination, loved by novice and seasoned sailors alike.

When it comes to things to do in the British Virgin Islands, there's so much to see and warm Caribbean waters in which to snorkel, dive and swim. During BVI yacht charters, guests can easily hop between uninhabited islands, resorts and beachside villages, dining at waterside restaurants, shopping at local boutiques and kicking back at some of the world's best beach bars.

From Dream Yacht's base is at Hodges Creek Marina, make the 11-mile sail north to experience the 'sunken island' of Anegada, or visit the geological wonder known as The Baths, with towering granite boulders forming a labyrinth of paths leading to hidden pools and grottos.

Looking for more options? Dream Yacht offers sailing vacations in over 50 destinations, with a fleet of more than 900 monohulls and catamarans. And no need to worry about sailing skills - Dream Yacht offers skippered charters and cabin cruises in destinations around the globe.
