Entry is now open for all major Finn Championships in 2023. This week entry has opened for the 2023 Finn European Masters Championship in Campione de Garda, the final major championship of the year.

After a very memorable and immensely fun Finn Gold Cup in Miami, followed by the Semaine International de Cannes last week, which attracted 72 Finns, hopes are high for another successful season for the Finn Class.

First up is the Open Europeans at Csopak on Lake Balaton, at the club managed by 2020 Olympic silver medalist, Zsombor Berecz. Berecz and double Finn Olympian Ian Ainslie are planning two training clinics prior to the event, which in addition to another regatta the week before provides a solid block of Finn sailing on the lake.

From Hungary many boats will head south to Kavala, Greece, for the Finn World Masters for a week in an idyllic beach location that promises a huge amount of sailing and fun.

After that, next up is the Finn Silver Cup for the U23s on the beautiful Lake Como and there is already considerable interest in this event, with a number of cheap charter options available. Early booking is recommended.

Finally the Finn European Masters takes place at Campione del Garda in September, with a large entry expected for the season Finn-ale.

All the links and further information can be found below.

These events all form part of the Finn World Tour for Finns, which currently includes 49 events across the world and is used to determine the World Ranking List. The winner last week in Cannes, Laurent Hay, was the first world No. 1, back in October, but who will be the first world No. 1 of 2023? Find out when the next World Ranking List is published very shortly.

In addition, keep an eye open for the next #finntalks with Italian Class President Marko Kolic, who talks about the events coming up in Italy this year and next. In 2024, there will be a double bill of the Finn Gold Cup in Anzio, closely followed by the Finn World Masters in Punta Ala, both of which are sure to be very popular.
