SINGAPORE, 8 FEBRUARY 2023 – Singapore’s flourishing leisure marine industry has been bolstered by SG Marine Guide launching the Singapore Yachting Festival (“SYF”) which will take place on 27-30 April 2023 at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove.

To fill the void of the postponed Singapore Yacht Show, the Singapore Yachting Festival will put an end to speculation in the market of multiple yacht shows competing to launch in Singapore. In turn, SYF will act as a stopgap to enable a fully prepared and promoted yacht show to happen in 2024.

Singapore has long been regarded as a gateway and hub of Asia’s marine industry. The Singapore Yachting Festival will reinforce the exciting growth of the yachting industry by providing an event platform for world-leading yacht builders, water-sport toys, and lifestyle brands to showcase their products for the ever-increasing appetite of the Singapore and Asia audience.

Wade Pearce, Founder of SG Marine Guide, will be leading the Singapore Yachting Festival, with the strong support and affirmation from the yachting community. Wade has over a decade of marine events experience in Asia, and is entirely confident that a successful event can be staged within a short time.

“Although we have a short timeline, we have been planning for an event for some months already. From a strong vantage point, ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove is an ideal venue to host such an event. The marina basin surrounded by busy restaurants naturally captures thousands of Sentosa Cove residents. Coupled with the added appeal of the yachts on display at SYF, the event will attract thousands of visitors to Sentosa from Singapore and the rest of Asia" said Pearce. “Singapore's yachting industry has expanded strongly over the past three years. In addition, expectations are high from both local dealerships and international brands looking for new distribution and clientele in the region. With such high demand, this gives us great confidence to stage an exceptional event in 2023.”

Mr Arthur Tay, CEO and Executive Director of SUTL Enterprise Limited (“SUTL”), said: “After a three-year hiatus from the last event, we are delighted to be the venue host of the newly-badged Singapore Yachting Festival. Together with SG Marine Guide, we are confident of delivering an exciting and successful event in response to the booming yachting industry in Asia. This is very important to Singapore as a yachting and lifestyle destination, bringing together leading players from Australia, Europe and America, and converging at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove.”

The event site plan and rates are now available for potential sponsors and exhibitors. If you would like to learn more about the event in person, the Singapore Yachting Festival will hold a presentation at the upcoming Grow Boating Singapore on 17 February at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove.
