Amel 50 new features and upgrades

The multi award winning Amel 50 was presented at the Dusseldorf International Boat Show with new standard features.

Always attentive to improvements to be made to Amel sailboats and in connection with their customers, Amel have integrated new technologies on the AMEL 50 and 60. These new features aim to increase autonomy and respect of the environment, but also to further improve comfort and performance at sea.

New Amel 50 standard features:

  • New hardtop with tough glass windscreens
  • Solar panels on the hardtop
  • Coppercoat antifoul paint
  • 200l grey water holding tank
  • 150hp Volvo engine
  • Flexible drive shaft vibration dampening coupling
  • Electric induction stove and oven
  • 4000w inverter
  • Optional carbon mast

Along with the unique Amel watertight bulkheads, central engine room, centre cockpit with electric sail control systems, both the Amel 50 and 60 remain the choice for sailors demanding the very best in quality, safety and the ability to comfortably sail anywhere in the world short-handed.
