The culmination of the 2022 FPT Awards is approaching steadily! On the 31st of January at 20:00 CET we will celebrate the best that Freestyle Windsurfing had on offer in 2022.

With multiple award categories the show will feature all calibers of riders and styles. Before we announce any winners though, we still need your help! The Best Move category for both the Men and Women is partially decided by you!

The voting has been going on all through the last week, and has finally come to the finals. Go to our Instagram today to vote on who you think should win the Women's Best Move, and come back again tomorrow to decide the Men's. Don't hesitate and help us decide who should get the €500 prize for Best Move of 2022!

In the men, the battle is between 4 very high level moves. Niclas Nebelung (Fanatic/Duotone/Maui Ultra Fins) has charged all the way up from the first round with his Triple Burner, and has been a favorite among the public vote so far, consistently raking in the most votes per round. Antoine Albert (Goya Windsurfing) entered with a Burner into Airfunnel, executed in style and allowing him to take down previous World Champion Dieter Van der Eyken (Severne Windsurfing) in the quarter finals. The other two riders are no surprise. They have been battling it out in the finals all year, and are now once again at the top. Yentel Caers (NeilPryde/JP) hopes to take the win with his Shifty Shaka 360. The winner of the Freestyle Pro Tour this year, Jacopo Testa (AV-Boards/Point-7) sent in a stylish One Handed Air Kabi to try and add another title to his 2022 collection. Who will take the win? Help decide and go vote!

In the women's final we see current European Champion Maaike Huvermann (Severne Windsurfing/Maui Ultra Fins) enter with a textbook Burner. Norwegian Oda Johanne Brodholt (Starboard/Severne) also made the final with a Burner, a One Handed one on top of that. Burners were a popular choice, as the runner up on the 2022 tour Lina Erzen (Duotone) also sent a tow-in rendition in. Deviating from this trend and completing the final four is Lisa Kloster (Sailloft) who submitted a powerful Skopu. Who do you think should win? Help us decide!
