Read US Sailing's 2022 Reach Impact Report

by US Sailing 25 Jan 09:27 PST

US Sailing has released the 2022 Reach Initiative Impact Report. Since its inception in 2012, Reach, US Sailing's STEM Education Initiative, has had an immeasurable impact on youth across the country. Reach participants learn Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) concepts using sailing as an educational platform.

As the Reach Initiative enters its 11th year US Sailing is excited to continue expanding the program impact.

2022 saw Reach grants continue to support programs that are just beginning to implement STEM or starting a new STEM program within their existing offerings.

This impact report focuses on the 2022 grant recipients. These ten programs worked hard to engage their community on a new level through their STEM programming using the Reach curriculum and resources available online.

Staff from these organizations enrolled in the online Reach Educator Course to learn new techniques for offering hands-on lessons to their sailors while incorporating a variety of STEM concepts.
