After 4 days in Namibia for part of the World ARC fleet is already time to start again, except Ko Tangaroa and Sky that will depart in the next days.

Participants really enjoyed the stopover, exploring the desert and the lagoon area: Walvis Bay is a must-see destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. From the stunning desert landscapes to the abundance of wildlife, this city will take your breath away.

The Walvis Bay Lagoon is a true paradise for birdwatchers, where you can spot a variety of species like flamingos, pelicans and even the elusive Damara tern. The lagoon is also a perfect spot for kayaking and fishing. The crystal clear waters and the beautiful scenery make it the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Before departure the participants gathered for an aperitif and lunch at the Walvis Bay Yacht Club; during the lunch they received the visit of the Commodore that wished a safe passage to all yachts and a journalist from the Namib Times that took pictures of the group and information about the event.

During the lunch also the crew of Nakula passed the World Arc jacket to Sky skipper, Jopie, that will pass it again to another yacht in Salvador.

Safe passage World ARC fleet!
