Sail Canada is pleased to announce that nominations for its Annual Awards are now open.

Starting now, Sail Canada is looking to receive nominations from the Canadian Sailing community to recognize outstanding sailors, athletes, coaches, instructors, officials, volunteers and events through one of Sail Canada's 12 Annual Award categories, based on activities and performances that occurred from January 1 to December 31, 2022.

For both, two awards will be given annually and they will be awarded to athletes/teams of different genders identities.

Nomination forms for each of the awards are available online here. Once they have been filled out, they can be sent no later than February 11, 2023, to Sail Canada's National Office at .

The recipients of these awards will be honoured virtually in the spring.

The 2023 Rolex Sailor of the Year Award will be attributed based on activities/performances that occurred from September 15, 2022 to October 15, 2023. Nominations are now open and will be accepted until October 16, 2023. The Rolex Sailor of the Year Award will be awarded at Canada's Celebration of Sailing to be held in the fall, at a location to be announced later.
