EAORA 2023 Race Programme

by Paul Wood 19 Dec 2022 12:32 PST

East Anglian Offshore Racing Association sponsored by DXB Pump & Power have dates for 2023 including Fastnet / RORC qualifiers.

The programme for 2023 has been published. Provisional dates subject to AGM approval (although we are not expecting them to change).

The programme is of a similar format to previous years, which includes two RORC races which are Fastnet Qualifiers. Mid-June we are having our Offshore Regatta from Harwich to Ostend and then on to Ramsgate, finishing back at Harwich on the Sunday.

We have decided to also race up to Lowestoft on the 1st July (something we haven't done for many years) and as a committee we appreciate other major events on the East Coast, so we have feeder races from Harwich to Ramsgate for Ramsgate week and from the Medway to Burnham for Burnham week and therefore yachts are in the right place for the prestigious Town Cup and Houghton Cup. As always, the late season dash across to Ostend always seems to be our points decider.

Competitors are advised to look at our website nearer the time to double check the safety requirements as they may be changing slightly for our coastal racing.

East Anglian has been established since the early 1950's and the silverware to be won is by far some of the nicest trophies out there. We enjoy a great social scene, and our member clubs always welcome us with good food and a party atmosphere.
