The world's most exciting racing on-water - SailGP - returns to Sydney Harbour this February. Tickets are now on sale for the event of the Aussie sporting summer, taking place on 18 and 19 February.

It will be the ninth leg of an eleven-stop global championship that visits some of the world's most iconic destinations such as San Francisco, Copenhagen and Saint-Tropez. Now, for the fourth time, the purpose-driven league arrives in Sydney.

Not only will the sporting action be exhilarating, but fans will enjoy premium hospitality on one of the world's most beautiful harbour playgrounds. With various price points to appeal to different audiences, there is something for everyone with a range of on-water and on-land fan experiences.

Fan experience options include:

  • Genesis Island offering a front row position in the middle of the race course
  • Official spectator boats from which to watch the action or bring your own boat to the exclusive spectator zone
  • Tech base tours offer the chance to go behind the scenes for a rare opportunity to view the cutting-edge, F50 catamarans up close
  • Simply soak up the atmosphere and take part in exciting fan events at the SailGP Village at Barangaroo
Last summer an estimated 20,000 fans immersed themselves in the adrenaline-filled action on Sydney Harbour to watch the identical, technologically-advanced 50-foot hydrofoiling catamarans fly over the water at breathtaking speeds up to 100km/h.

This summer even more spectators from across Australia and internationally are anticipated to come and support Tom Slingsby and his Australia SailGP Team as they compete against eight rival nations to maintain their current position at the top of the SailGP Season 3 leaderboard.

Australia driver and CEO Slingsby said: "It would be great to see Aussies gather in their masses to this iconic event and roar the team on. I have incredible memories from last year's event - the home crowd was amazing and really helped drive the team towards victory. Hopefully we can pull off a similar result in February!"

Minister for Tourism, Ben Franklin, said: "SailGP is an exhilarating international event that is one of the highlights of Sydney's summer events calendar. Spectators from all over the world will flock to the shoreline and islands of Sydney Harbour, with stunning images beamed across the globe showcasing the Harbour City as one of the world's premier sporting event destinations."

The Early Bird ticket offer is available from 24 October until 15 November, at SailGP.com/Sydney. Early Bird tickets for Genesis Island will be 15% off the full price tickets.

The KPMG Australia Sail Grand Prix | Sydney is proudly supported by KPMG, the New South Wales Government through Destination New South Wales and Genesis.
