Get your entry in for one or multiple events in Great Britain's most popular winter sailing series, now in its 14th season...

The 14th edition of the Seldén SailJuice Winter Series kicks off in four weeks' time, starting with the Fernhurst Books Draycote Dash on 19 & 20 November 2022. There are nine events across a three-month period, culminating in the Oxford Blue on 18 February 2023 and the prize-giving on the Main Stage of the RYA Dinghy Show a week later.

Seldén is back for the fourth year as title sponsor of the series which since 2009 has aimed to provide the fairest possible handicap racing for small boats in the UK.

Entry for the event is now open at www.sailjuiceseries.com

The Seldén SailJuice Winter Series aims to appeal to as many classes as possible, with typically almost 100 different types of boat represented across the season, from the well known modern dinghies as well as the old classics. Go to the dropdown menu of classes and place your entry. If your class needs to be added, contact

GREAT WAY TO ADVANCE YOUR SKILLS AND MEET OLD FRIENDS

One of the great social aspects of the Seldén SailJuice Winter Series is to meet up with old friends from other classes and fleets who you don't get a chance to catch up with during the summer months.

The variety of race courses and formats also really sharpens up your skills for when you get back to your class racing.

Last year's winner, Ben McGrane, campaigned with his 505 helmsman Roger Gilbert to work on their boathandling and fleet management skills. "The 505 is geared up for long legs where the focus is on boatspeed, but doing the Seldén SailJuice Winter Series forces us to sail the boat in different ways, which is all good for when you come back to your class racing during the summer."

MAKE THE SERIES YOUR CLASS WINTER CHAMPIONSHIPS

Some fleets choose to use some of the events as their class championships, such as the RS Aero which typically brings up to 50 boats for the concluding event of the season, the Oxford Blue, which in recent years has served as the Aero Winter Championships. If you're interested in choosing one, some or even all of the events in the Series to construct your own class championships, email
