Join British Marine, The Department for Transport (DfT) and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) on Thursday 13 October at 17.00 for a free webinar to find out more about the future arrangements for the disposal of maritime pyrotechnics.

In 2021 the DfT completed a consultation on the future arrangements for the disposal of maritime pyrotechnics. Following this consultation, a new alternative program for the disposal of time expired marine pyrotechnics was agreed; from 1 January 2023 HM Coastguard will cease to offer a voluntary, public-facing flare disposal service to private individuals.

To find out more about the upcoming changes and how they impact you, either as an individual or business looking to offer a commercial disposal facility, register today for the FREE webinar.

The webinar will be hosted on Microsoft Teams. Please register your attendance.

Agenda:

  • Introduction and welcome from Ross Wombwell (RW) - Head of Technical Services, British Marine
  • Consultation process and response - MCA / DfT
  • Legal position of users - MCA / DfT
  • Industry commitment - RW
  • New facilities map - RW
  • Q&A session
