J/111 North American Championship at Lakeside Yacht Club - Overall

The J/111 North American Championship concluded Saturday at Lakeside Yacht Club in Cleveland, Ohio in gusty winds of 22-30 knots. Peter Wagner's Skeleton Key took line honors in the day's only race and also for the regatta, earning the 2022 North American title with 15 net points in nine races. This victory comes on the heels of their J/111 World Championship in 2021. The crew included: John Collins (bow), Nick Gibbens (headsail trimmer), John Hayes (mast), Ryan Kern (spinnaker trimmer), John Pernick (main trimmer), Cory Schillaci (bow) and Seadon Wijsen (tactician).

By way of placing third in Saturday's match, Andrew & Segdwick Ward's Bravo jumped into second place overall with 24 points. One point in arrears was top local boat, Rob Ruhlman's Spaceman Spiff.
