In a competitive marketplace where every little edge counts, HiTech Marine in the northern Perth suburb of Wangara has just achieved the ultimate.

The dealership has been recognised with Mercury Marine's coveted "Premier" Dealer status, becoming the first WA business to carry the mantle.

Premier accreditation is the highest recognition that a Mercury Marine Service business can achieve and is only granted to those dealerships that excel in presentation, technical training, tooling and diagnostics equipment, along with exceptional levels of customer service.

And that pretty much sums up Tony Spiteri and the team at HiTech Marine.

"Tony understands the importance of customer service, technician training and a well-organised and well-presented workshop," said Nicholas Webb, Mercury's Senior Director of Engine Products, Aftersales and Marketing.

"Richard Derbyshire has been working closely with Tony and the HiTech team to ensure that every requirement to become a Premier Dealer was achieved, and they've done it in style.

"This is a richly deserved accolade for a great business."

With more than 30 years of experience and pedigree, HiTech is a multi award-winning Mercury - Mercruiser Certified Dealer and one of the largest suppliers and installers of quality Marine Engines, Electronics and Mercury/Mercruiser parts in Australia.

The dealership has won numerous Mercury Dealer of the Year awards, at one stage racking up eight consecutive years of awards. It was Australia's first Mercury Marine Mercruiser Dealer of the Year, an award it practically invented and has held more times than any other dealer in Australia.

"Premier Dealer status is something we've been striving for and to be rewarded by Mercury Marine for that effort is a great feeling and a testament to all the hard work the team has put in over the journey," Tony said.

"We pride ourselves on setting the standard in the market so it's particularly pleasing to be the first dealer in WA to be recognised by Mercury in this way.

"We have a shared commitment to our loyal customers that is based on do it once and do it right - and that seems to be paying off."
