Preparations continue with the commissioning of the "new" Emirates Team New Zealand base in the Wynyard Harbour, ahead of the team vacating their current base in the former Viaduct Events Centre.

The new base is the former INEOS Team UK facility constructed for the 2021 America's Cup in Auckland.

Continuing a respected and treasured tradition, Ngati Whatua Orakei blessed the new Emirates Team New Zealand base on Wynyard Point in a special dawn ceremony on Tuesday morning ahead of the wider team move across to its new long-term home.

It is expected that the team's AC40 will begin sailing from the base in the next few weeks.
