Now available for sale, the Horizon FD92 Freedom will be on display at the Newport International Boat Show. The first tri-deck build of the high-volume Fast Displacement (FD) Series of Horizon motor yachts, this FD92 was originally built for an owner who desired both an enclosed skylounge and an upper-level flybridge for open-air navigation.

Now in its 53rd year, the Newport International Boat Show draws on the esteemed nautical history of the charming coastal New England town and welcomes visitors worldwide for the annual showcase of over 600 power and sail vessels. Occupying a prominent position on the Facedock North, the Horizon FD92 will be the largest motor yacht in attendance.

Designed in collaboration with Cor D. Rover, Horizon's Fast Displacement Series of yachts has pioneered the high-volume trend that has become increasingly popular in mid-size motor yachts. Distinguished by a striking exterior profile and voluminous design that yields an interior layout and amenities previously afforded only to much larger yachts, the Horizon FD Series yacht combines its high-volume design with high quality advanced composites construction and stability and comfort from a proprietary High Performance Piercing Bow and hull design. Through owner customization and Horizon's willingness to engineer new designs, the successful FD Series of yachts has expanded to include eight models ranging from the FD75 to the FD125.

Having recently undergone an interior refresh, the well-maintained Horizon FD92 Freedom features a full-beam, on-deck master and four additional staterooms on the lower deck with crew quarters for four positioned aft. Outfitted in light satin oak with high-gloss dark walnut accents, the main deck is laid out in the traditional configuration, with the main salon aft and formal dining and galley amidships. The salon offers U-shaped sofa seating with freestanding chairs, and an ottoman-style coffee table. A formal dining area is forward, followed by a fully-equipped galley that can be separated from the salon via privacy doors and a hi/lo glass partition. In the forward master stateroom, this yacht features a his-and-hers en suite as well as dual full-height hanging lockers and plenty of storage. A custom backlit headboard and soffit design add an air of sophistication to this space.

Highlighted with a satin white oak finish, the lower deck houses three queen-size en suite staterooms as well as a convertible twin en suite with a Pullman berth. The engine room, crew quarters and beach club are positioned aft of the guest accommodations. The crew area has been designed with a double Captain's cabin and a second cabin with a fixed bunk and Pullman berth to accommodate up to four crew members when desired.

Aft of the enclosed skylounge on the bridge deck - which houses the helm station, lounge seating facing a retractable television, dayhead, desk area and custom ottoman/coffee table - the boat deck features a custom arrangement with an L-shaped dinette and a backlit Corian bar with stools, icemaker, refrigeration, sink, BBQ, commercial freezer and storage. The tender is comfortably stowed furthest aft while under way and the entire area can be cooled by a custom shade system.

The opportunities for al fresco entertainment are plentiful on this tri-deck yacht, whether it's dining on the spacious aft deck or enjoying a cocktail from the bar on the bridge deck. The uppermost deck is equipped with a helm station, seating area and a small bar, while a six-person Jacuzzi, seating, sunpads and a refrigerator/icemaker complement the inviting lounging area on the foredeck. This FD92 also features a full equipped beach club and a Hi/Lo swim platform with a custom "transformer" stair section that facilitates easy water access.

"Showcasing this popular FD Series build at the Newport International Boat Show provides a great opportunity for our clients to see firsthand the build caliber that defines each Horizon motor yacht," says Horizon Yacht USA director Roger Sowerbutts. "Our advanced composites technology, design flexibility and construction methods are second-to-none and we are looking forward to discussing the Horizon difference as well as the exciting new builds making their U.S. debut this Fall."
