The first J/88 down in Hobart, Tasmania has been enjoying her time racing up and down and around the infamous River Derwent...yes, the same one that confounds navigators and tacticians after racing hard offshore in the classic Rolex Sydney to Hobart Race.

Here is a brief report from Dr. Peter Davis, owner of the J/88 JIYUU:

"We have continued to enjoy success sailing our boat here in Hobart, Tasmania. We mostly sail two-handed and have a good rivalry with two other J's in our local fleet (a J/99 and J/112e). We have a deep second reef and a storm jib for when the Roaring 40s get too boisterous! But, ironically, in midwinter sailing, we also get some delightful moments of calm. I thought you would like this shot of us sailing on the River Derwent this past weekend, with the city of Hobart and Mt Wellington in the background."

Indeed, it is a gorgeous photo!
