Wow, just wow! The Salcombe YC Cadets we're extremely lucky to be given the opportunity to see the operations behind the SailGP scenes last night in Plymouth.

As part of this year's Adopt-a-Club community outreach program, which aims to create a bridge between world-class athletes and young sailors in the locations where SailGP events are held, SYC have been adopted by Canada SailGP as part of the SailGP Inspire program.

The cadets were met by Jareese Finch, one of the grinders from the Canadian team. Jareese spent time answering questions from the cadets (and their parents) and spoke about the importance of sustainability in sailing.

We would like to thank Jareese for taking time out of his busy schedule to talk to our members.

Please join us on Wednesday 27th from 17:00 at SYC for our Canadian themed club night where you too can meet some of the Canada SailGP team, watch the mid-week race at 18:00 and enjoy a burger from the BBQ.
