Euromarine Insurance Ramsgate Week 2022 Day 1 saw the IRC and Cruiser classes undertake different coastal courses in warm, sunny, breezy, perfect sailing conditions.

The IRC classes were sent off on a 15-mile, offshore, circular course in 16-20 knots of breeze. After a perfect start, Assassin took line honours but corrected time shows a slightly different story:

The cruisers tackled two courses which saw Classes 5 and 6 on a 14.1-mile sail to the Deal Dolphin mark before returning to Ramsgate around Sandwich Bay. Class 7 were sent in the same general direction but on a shorter course of 11.6 miles. The dozen boats in Class 5 sailed a keenly fought race and the results were as follows:
