The Askøy Sailforening and their RC/PRO chief Torstein Hellebust provided the two dozen teams a great sailing weekend with all kinds of weather in picturesque Bergen, Norway! A dozen teams sailed in the Elite Series and another dozen teams sailed in the 1 Division.
Not surprisingly, the top sailing team- Moss Seilforening- have continued their winning ways by walking off with the top spot in the Bergen regatta. The surprise performance was the up-and-coming crew from BI Athletics Seiling taking the silver. Then, another top team that has always been a contender in the J/70 Norwegian Sailing League took the bronze- Ålesunds Seilforening.
A similar scenario was playing out in the 1 Division. The surprise winner was Trondhjems Seilforening, the sailing club associated with the famous Trondhjem Fjord! Hard to believe they get any wind there! Nevertheless, they were a hot team and showed more experienced teams how to get around the race track without crashing! Second went to Larvik Seilforening and third place went to Team RAN Seilforening.
