One of the highlights of this year's RS200 calendar will be the AIX Rosé Women's Weekend taking place at Itchenor SC on 9/10 July.

The RS200 has always been known as a female-friendly class, and this year there are a record 111 female sailors amongst the 138 boats signed up for the Noble Marine Rooster RS200 Nationals at Hayling Island, but there's always room for more!

RS200 legend and 2018 National Champion Helm Maria Stanley and twice National Champion Crew Maddy Anderson have generously stepped up to run the weekend, an exciting new initiative for the fleet, proposed and brought to life by committee member Bethan Matthew, who said "We are incredibly lucky to have Maria and Maddy along. They will be able to provide the very best insights into sailing the RS200 as a female whilst bringing more positive energy than you think is possible. We cannot thank them enough for their support".

The weekend will allow the females of the RS200s at all stages of their RS200 journey to get together for some informal racing and training, celebrating the talent of the women in our fleet. It will be inclusive, collaborative, and a great time all round.

Included in the weekend fee, part funded by the RS Class Association, will be an AIX Rosé sponsored reception at Itchenor Sailing Club on Saturday, followed by a dinner in the clubhouse. The first 12 boats entered will also receive a celebratory event glass to take home.

We hope the weekend will give more females the confidence to helm. It is set to be a thoroughly enjoyable event and we extend huge gratitude to Maria Stanley, Maddy Anderson, Itchenor Sailing Club, and AIX Rosé.

Online entry for the weekend closes at midnight on Sunday 3rd July.
