A very long day was the final day of the 47th Optimist d'Argento Trophy-Turazza Trophy, organised by Circolo Vela Torbole in collaboration with Optimist Italia, Federazione Italiana Vela and Consorzio Garda Trentino Vela.

The fleet of 250 young helmsmen sailed out late in the morning when the wind from the north on Garda Trentino was still blowing strongly, but in the subsequent change of wind from north to south, which took place within a few minutes, it was necessary to wait for the new wind to stabilise and neutralise the strong contrary current. This is how the cadets managed to finish a total of 7 races with victory going to Ginevra Rovaglia (CN Bardolino), who lined up her male opponents: she won by 4 points over Giorgio Nibbi (CN Sanbenedettese) and 5 over the Hungarian Gereben Barnabais.

The bearers of Circolo vela Torbole managed to maintain a good average of partials, finishing in fourth, sixth and eighth place with, in order, Chiara Davolio Marani (second female), Dylan Fava and Gionata Fravezzi. These results allowed Circolo Vela Torbole to win the Cadet Silver Optimist Trophy, awarded to the club with the best two cadets in the overall ranking. third place for the female team was won by Vittoria Berteotti (Fraglia Vela Riva).

As for the juniors, the gold fleet completed the last day with three regattas in the finals, and for the Fraglia's Lorenzo Ghirotti there were no great opponents, considering that he won with 19 points and 6 firsts out of 8 races. However, the entire podium was the prerogative of Fraglia Vela Riva with Giovanni Bedoni in second place and Victoria Demurtas in third place - first female. This trio, together with Leonardo Grossi's seventh place, allowed Fraglia Vela Riva to win the Silver Optimist Trophy, awarded to the club with the best four juniors.

As for the girls, second place for Sofia Bommartini (Fraglia Vela Malcesine) and third for Anna Avanzini (CN Bardolino, 11th overall). Italy in general did very well, leaving only a few places in the top 15 to foreign helmsmen: among the juniors, ninth place for Croatian Smircic Toma, 12th for American Glen Foster, and 15th for Croatian Grabar. Among the youngest cadets (9-10 years old) in addition to Hungarian Gereben's third, Czech Hruby's fifth, Frenchman Eggenspieler's seventh, Ukrainian Vyevyenko's eleventh, and Latvian Osipovs' twelfth. For all the foreign racers, the regatta organised by Circolo Vela Torbole was an excellent opportunity to spend a few days of holiday in Italy, combined with training and racing at a time when Lake Garda and the entire Trentino region are at their best with activities immersed in nature and various events.
