James Sainsbury's latest home-build Moth project

It's been a week since the end of the International Moth UK Nationals, and after four hours of reflection on the drive home its time for a change.

It has been four years since I built Valkyrie and it has had various upgrades and different iterations along the way. Timing is always key to these things, so a new challenge to design, build and then race at the Europeans in Carnac in less than six weeks is the challenge.

After a couple of days my previous sponsors have stepped up to assist with some of the key items Allen with the hardware, Kingfisher Yacht Ropes, and Matrix composites for the hull materials.

Since getting home no time has been waisted the hull mould has been shaped and the hull layup will hopefully happen this week once materials arrive.

It's a very short road for a large scale project, so fingers crossed all goes to plan bit balancing the full time job with the full tome build is going to be exciting!

Wish me luck!
