US Sailing is excited to announce longtime insurance partner Gowrie Group, a division of Risk Strategies, will be extending their support to two major US Sailing events in 2022.

This year, Gowrie Group is the Presenting Sponsor of the Championship of Champions, US Sailing's premier championship which invites winners of one design World, National, or North American championships to compete in an ultimate test of wits.

"We are very pleased to announce Gowrie Group as the Presenting Sponsor for this year's Championship of Champions," said Shannon Bush, Committee Chair. "As this national championship truly celebrates the best of the best of One-Design sailing, and Gowrie Group having supported One-Design sailors for many years, this is a perfect match and we couldn't be more grateful to have their support."

Also new this year, Gowrie Group has joined as a National Sponsor of the West Coast US Open Sailing Series events. Gowrie lends their support to US Sailing's domestic Olympic training platform, designed as a pathway to the LA 2028 Olympic Games and beyond.

"The US Open Sailing Series was built to provide a domestic training and competition platform for the next great US Olympic Sailors. Having a company like Gowrie Group recognize the importance of a regatta circuit like this and step up to support really elevates the series," said US Sailing Director of Partnership Marketing, Josh Toso. "It shows the next generations of US Olympians that one of US Sailing's largest partners has their back as they strive for the podium in 2024, and our hometown games in LA/Long Beach in 2028."

US Sailing and Gowrie Group are committed to continuing and extending our longtime partnership through the support of one design racing and the Olympic pathway, as showcased through Gowrie's sponsorship of the 2022 Championship of Champions and the 2022 US Open Sailing Series.

"Gowrie Group is proud to support US Sailing through a broad range of shared initiatives, including safety programs, insurance solutions for individual members and sailing organizations, the Chubb Junior Champs, and support of the US Sailing Team and the Olympic development pathways," said Whitney Peterson, Gowrie Group's Director of Marking & Partnerships. "We are looking forward to being involved with these two new major events in 2022 this summer and fall, and for years to come."
