Sail Croatia has confirmed that a series of enhancements have been completed on its luxury small ship, Olimp.

The £500,000 upgrade was carried out at a shipyard near Split, Croatia, and took seven months to complete. The works were completed on time and on budget.

The enhancements comprise:

  • A transformation of the top deck into a shaded, ambient lounge area that surrounds the jacuzzi
  • An updated colour scheme and design in the cabins, dining salon and lounge area
  • A new swimming platform that extends into the sea for easy access in and out of the water

Olimp was built in 2017 and carries up to 38 guests. It is 49m in length and travels exclusively on Sail Croatia's luxury Elegance Cruises, which are aimed at mature travellers.

16 Elegance sailings onboard Olimp are scheduled from now to the end of the year. The ship sails on three itineraries, via Split or Dubrovnik, and offers excursions including to Diocletian's Palace in Split, Dubrovnik's city walls and the Blue Cave in Vis, as well as making daily swim stops.

Grant Seuren, Sail Croatia director, said: "Olimp is a stunning ship, and these upgrades will ensure she remains one of the most sought-after luxury small ships to sail the Adriatic. We can't wait for guests to step onboard and experience the enhancements for themselves, from fresh and contemporary cabins, to the stunning new top deck that exudes relaxation."

Croatia has removed most of its remaining wellbeing restrictions, including no mandatory face coverings in the majority of indoor spaces, and no restrictions or curfews for hospitality venues including restaurants, bars and nightclubs. All Covid-19 related entry requirements to Croatia have also been removed.
